All-New ASIMO Visits the Honda Family

The All-New ASIMO continued its debut tour of the UK this week by visiting Honda’s two main facilities in the country.

The robot’s first stop was the headquarters of Honda Motor Europe and Honda UK in Langley, Berkshire. Whilst there the latest generation of ASIMO wowed staff with its swift and fluid movements and also performed a number of special shows to school children, who were invited to see the robot from the local area.

Its arrival at Honda’s UK offices also piqued the interest of both local and national media, with the robot making a prime-time appearance on Five News, a popular national television news programme.   

Later in the week All-New ASIMO travelled west to visit Honda of the UK Manufacturing, Honda’s European car manufacturing plant in Swindon, Wiltshire, also attended by local school children.

With hundreds of associates all wishing to see the robot for the first time, a number of shows were arranged throughout the day, offering a chance to see first-hand the ground breaking achievements of their fellow colleagues in Honda R&D and Honda Robotics.
