Strong result from Davide Guarneri in the GP of Hungary

It was a strong result from Davide Guarneri in the GP of Hungary in Paradfurdo with fourth position on Saturday and sixth on Sunday, despite some falls. It was a positive performance in view of the next competition.

This weekend saw a tough race for Davide Soreca, who struggled to take and keep the pace but managed to get some important points after finishing eighth and sixth. Soreca maintains his championship lead in the EJ class.

In the EnduroGP class, Giacomo Redondi found the right pace only part way through Saturday’s events and finished tenth. On Sunday the Italian had a great day, confirming a good speed in the first special test and taking eighth overall, only a few seconds from the first placed rider.

It was an unlucky debut for Mirko Spandre with the Honda-RedMoto 250: on Saturday he was forced to retire from the race due a bad fall, but fortunately Spandre received no injury from this.

The Honda-RedMoto World Enduro Team now moves to Greece for the fifth round of the World Championship (1-2 July).

Davide Soreca

“It was two tough days but I gave my best to get a good result. It is good that I got my best time at the end of Sunday, and now I hope I can be in good shape for the GP of Greece.”

Davide Guarneri

“It was a positive weekend. I could have got on the podium, but I could not have supertest’s subsidies. On Sunday I felt good in the second enduro test and made many seconds, that was one of my best races.”

Giacomo Redondi

“On Saturday I faced the wrong way in the first enduro test and lost contact with the top riders. We were close, but then I fell and finished tenth. It was better on Sunday and I was about ten seconds from the top-five.”

Tullio Pellegrinelli

“It was a tough race, where everybody was fast. Guarneri had good pace from the beginning and finished both days with two great achievements. This time, Soreca has struggled. Redondi started slow but then managed to get a good pace. Now we move to Greece with the ambition to get a better result.”
