Sébastien Gimbert is no stranger to championship trophies, having won both the French 250cc and French Superbike championships twice. The Frenchman also has a rich history with Honda. He raced for official Honda teams from 1995-2001 and started his endurance career with the manufacturer in 1999. The 40-year-old rider secured the EWC title in 2004 and has placed second overall in the championship twice in 2011 and 2012.
Joining Honda Endurance Racing in 2014 he helped the squad claim its maiden EWC win at the 8 Hours of Oschersleben that same year. Sébastien has also helped the team secure several podiums at Portimao, 8 Hours of Slovakia ring and most recently kicking off the 2017/2018 FIM Endurance World Championship, and claiming the first 24-hour podium for the team, with a third place at the Bol d’Or.
